Why it is important to vote

As a citizen of the United States of America you are awarded certain rights and privileges. Voting is one of those privileges that every American should take pride in participating in. There are many countries in the world where people are silenced and not allowed to voice their opinion, or have any control in how the country in run. In the past Americans have made many sacrifices including their lives, so that today we have the right to vote. It is your responsibility as a U.S citizen to take advantage of that right and have a say in the future of your country.
Voting decides the future of a country whether it be good or bad. It is also a chance to tell the government how you feel and let you stand up for what you believe in. Every individual has different views and opinions on topics that affect our country, such as taxes and immigration. It is important to vote to share your views and let your voice be heard so you can have control over your future.
Every decision that the elected individuals make will not only affect your life but your country as a whole. Even though it may not seem like these decisions will affect your life at the present time, they could bring about big changes in your life down the road. Remember that the individual elected is representing you and your country, voting allows you to make sure that individual shares your morals and beliefs. In conclusion voting is a privledge that is given to all U.S citizens, and everyone should take advantage of this privledge to play a part in our countries future.
